The purpose of this site visit was to conduct a routine air quality inspection. An air quality permit
was issued to this company for the construction and operation of stationary and portable crushing,
screening and conveying equipment at the Rocky River quarry site. I phoned Mr. Jay Nivens,
manager environmental engineering at(704)409-1475 to discuss the operational status of this

stockpiled granite rock materials to various customers ceased at this quarry site in 2011 due to the
lack of demand for this product. Mr.Nivens stated that Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. has no plans
at this time to reopen this quarry site.
