No. 1800073 Dear Mr. Ellison: The Division of Air Quality(DAQ) has reviewed Marshall Steam Station's the semi-annual nitrogen dioxide Excess Emission(NOj Report for the second period of 2007. The nitrogen dioxide emissions report was dated January 23, 2008. The Marshall Units 1, 2, 3, and 4 nitrogen dioxide emission reports were reviewed in accordance with Air Quality Permit No. 03676T42, Specific Limitation and Condition (2.1,A.,2.). Based on the review, it was determined that Duke Power Marshall Units 1, 2, 3, and 4 did not exceed the nitrogen dioxide(NOx) emission limits of 1.8 pounds per million Btu heat input(when coal is burned) and 0.8 pounds per million Btu heat input(when oil is burned) on a 24-hour block average as specified in 15A NCAC 2D .0519(b), .0606(c), and the permit.
