Daniel Chief Technical Services Section Division of Air Quality NCDENR 1641 Mail Service Center Raleigh North Carolina 27699-1641 November 6, 2014 Dear Mr. Daniel, Subject : Your letter dated August 7, 2014—Request for information Pressure Vessel Inspection—Saft America facility,Valdese, Burke County &our response letter dated August 14th 2014 As an update to our earlier letter( dated 14th August this year),we have now concluded discussions with the appropriate technical and EHS personnel from all companies that will be involved in the vessel inspection(s). Subject to unforeseen events (weather, inspection personnel non-availability), it is our plan to conduct all necessary preparatory, inspection, and if necessary remedial work, from 151h December through 23`d December. Inspection and testing will be conducted by suitably qualified personnel employed by the vessel manufacturer, and will be both visual external and internal, and by use of`spark testing'to assess the glass lining of the tank. Testing of the vessel will be to the applicable codes for such vessels as identified by the vessel manufacturer, and full results will be available as soon as the inspection is complete.
