Directions From Rockingham, take HWY 74 west until you cross over the Pee Dee River, then take HWY 145 on the _ left. The proposed project site is approximately 0.5 miles down HWY 145 on the right hand side. Safety Considerations: Standard DAQ safety equipment required. When facility starts operating,be alert to large equipment on site. 2) Facility and Process Description _ Martin Marietta Aggregate Pee Dee Quarry is a rock quarry that is permitted to produce gravel and aggregate used in construction. This facility is permitted under Air Permit No.6334R05, effective from 19 October 2007 until 30 September 2012. Cindy Grimes conducted the last compliance inspection on 12 June 2012.Note: This facility has not broken ground or been constructed yet. This facility is(will be)a quarry which extracts mainly granite and other stone. The granite and other stone products are loosened by drilling and blasting, and then are loaded by power shovel or front-end loader into large haul trucks that transport the material to the processing operations. Primary operations include a jaw, which is used for initial crusher reduction, and a series of conveyors. This crusher product is next fed through a grizzly feeder for undersize material, and then is discharged onto a conveyor, where it goes through more screening processes, until it is conveyed to a surge pile for temporary storage or sold as coarse aggregate. a) Throughputs for 2013 Employees: 0 (same in 2012) Hours: 0 (same in 2012) Production: 0 (same in 2012) b) Permitted Sources Emission Emission Source Control Control System Source ID Description 1System ID Description Non-Metallic Mineral Processing Plant,800 tons per hour rating, utilizing water suppression with no other control devices, including: Crushers(NSPS) JCrushing Operations _Conveyors(NSPS) Conveying Operations !FWS 1 Wet suppression water spray system Screens(NSPS) ]IScreening Operations 3) Inspection Summary This facility has not begun operations at its proposed site.I drove by the site on 12 August 2014 and did not observe any equipment or evidence of ground-breaking.
