NOx Control Efficiency and Emission Factor Testing Performed April 15, 2014
by Analytical Testing Company(ATC).
SSCB has reviewed the subject emissions test report. The test results are acceptable to establish the
control efficiency for the Dry Scrubber 2DS, demonstration of avoidance of PSD requirements and
development of emission factors for future emission inventory estimation calculations.
The emissions sources are the Overcladding Units(cells 6, 7 and remaining cell 5 units)under emission
source ID ES-9a. A dry scrubber using a fabric filter and lime injection is used to control emissions.
EPA Method 7E was performed on April 15,2014 at the inlet and outlet of the dry scrubber fabric filter to
determine the emission rate and removal efficiency of NO,.
Although there were slight differences in the inlet and outlet volumes, they were within the expected error
range for measurement of volumetric flow rates. The inlet emission rate of NO,,was determined to be
41.421b/hr,while the outlet emission rate was 37.59 lb/hr. Annual potential emissions of NOx are
reported as 181.41 tons/yr at the inlet and 164.64 tons/yr at the outlet. It appears that the emission factors
may also be used for future emission inventory calculations.
