Dear Mr. Brown, Jr.:
The North Carolina Division of Air Quality has received the October 31, 2016, request
from Beth Barfield, ERM Principal Consultant, on your behalf, for an extension to the 30-day
source test reporting requirement as listed in Section 3 General Conditions JJ (4) of your air
permit. Air emissions testing was performed on September 13, 2016, at your facility,
According to the letter, it was stated that the audit sample results were not received until
October 28, 2016. Your request also indicates there was no indication of a violation associated
with the emission test. Air permit Section 3 General Conditions—JJ (4) states that "The
Director shall approve an extension request if he finds that the request is a result of actions
beyond the control of owner or operator."
Therefore, the request is approved. Since the extension request was submitted past the
30-day test submittal deadline, you will need to note this as a deviation on your Title V Annual
