ABRACZINSKAS ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY Acting Director February 13, 2017 CERTIFIED MAIL RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED Mr. Chester Patterson Manager/Partner Blue Rock Materials, LLC 750 Tallulah Road Robbinsville,NC 28771 SUBJECT: Notice of Deficiency—Reporting Requirement Blue Rock Materials, LLC Murphy, Cherokee County,North Carolina Air Permit No. 10208R02 Facility ID No. 2000130 Facility Classification: Small Dear Mr. Patterson: Specific Condition No. 3.c. of Air Permit No. 10208R02 requires the following: Reporting Requirement-For compliance purposes, within 30 days after each calendar year, regardless of actual emissions, the Permittee shall report to the Regional Supervisor, DAQ, in writing, the maximum daily hours of operation for the quarry equipment(crushing, screening and conveying of rock or stone)for any day during the previous calendar year. Specific Condition No. 15.£ of Air PermitNo. 10208R02 requires the following: Reporting Requirements - Within 30 days after each calendar year, regardless of the actual emissions, the Permittee shall submit to the Regional Supervisor, DAQ, the total operating hours of the stationary diesel-fired power generation units (ID No. ES-Gen). The referenced reports for the calendar year 2016 was due on or before January 30, 2017. This office received the subject report on February 7, 2017. This letter serves as a Notice of Deficiency for failure to submit the report by the required date. Please respond in writing to the Asheville Regional Office by no later than March 1,2017. The response should outline the steps that you plan to take or have taken to assure reports are submitted by the required date.
