Emissions Testing of Dry Scrubber ID No. 2DS
Performed April 15, 2015 by Montrose Air Quality Services(Montrose)
Montrose conducted performance testing at the inlet and outlet of the dry scrubber(ID No. 2DS on April
15, 2015. The purpose of this testing was to demonstrate compliance with Prevention of Significant
Deterioration avoidance conditions contained in the permit. Method 7E was used to measure nitrogen
oxides(NOX) concentrations and emission rates at the inlet and outlet of the dry scrubber and to determine
removal efficiency of the scrubber.
The measured NO,,concentration at the dry scrubber outlet was 315.6 parts per million by volume on a
dry basis(ppmvd) and outlet emission rate of 41.68 pounds per hour(lb/hr). This projects to an outlet
annual emission rate of 182.55 tons/year. The inlet NO,concentration was measured at 340.9 ppmvd
with an inlet emission rate of 46.65 lb/hr. The NO,,emissions reduction rate was computed at 10.65
percent.
The production rate was described in terms of"pre-forms"and during the testing the production rate was
14 pre-forms per 24-hour period. The test results are deemed acceptable. If there are any questions
