1) LOCATION/DIRECTIONS:
Martin Marietta Aggregates Pee Dee Quarry is located at 2710 Wycliff Rd. in Pee Dee,NC.
From Rockingham take HWY 74W until you cross the Pee Dee River,then take HWY 145 on the
left. The proposed project site is approximately 0.5 miles down HWY 145 on the right.

2) SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS: Standard DAQ equipment. The mine has never been
constructed so there is no activity.

3) Facility and Process Description: j
Martin Marietta Aggregates Pee Dee Quarry is a mining operation that will produce gravel and
aggregates for the construction industry. This facility is permitted under Air Permit No.
06334R08, effective from 28 February 2017 until 31 January 2025. Mike Thomas conducted the
last compliance inspection on 29 December 2016.
4) PERMITTED EMISSIONS SOURCES:

5) INSPECTION SUMMARY:
The facility has never been constructed nor have any operations been conducted-there. I spoke to
Richard Broughton,Environmental Services Manager. Mr.Broughton stated that there were no
plans to construct the facility at this point but that Martin Marietta intended to retain the permit in
case things change in the future.
6) COMMENTS AND COMPLIANCE STATEMENT:
Martin Marietta Aggregates Pee Dee Quarry appeared to be in compliance on 11 October 2017
as not yet constructed or operating.
