Integrity Air Monitoring,Inc.performed National Council for Air and Stream Improvement(NCASI)
Method ISS/FP-A 105.01 to determine total HAP emissions from DEF-2010. The emissions test results
do not demonstrate compliance with the applicable regulations.
DEF-2010 is a particleboard press associated with board cooler PB-BC. The press is subject to 15A
NCAC 2D .0530 Prevention of Significant Deterioration and 40 CFR 63 Subpart DDDD NESHAPS:
Plywood and Composite Wood Products. Table lA of 63 Subpart DDDD specifies the production based
compliance limit as 0.30 pounds per thousand square feet(lb/MSF) for reconstituted wood product
presses. HAPs are defined as acetaldehyde, acrolein,formaldehyde,methanol,phenol,and
propionaldehyde. A summary of the emissions test results is shown in the table below.

The production rate during testing averaged 17.19 MSF. The emissions rate without the phenol emissions
included would be 7.83 lb/hr or 0.451b/MSF. The emissions test results do not demonstrate compliance
