Department of Transportation Post Office Box 3279 Asheville, North Carolina 28802 Subject: Inspection- NC Highway 19/19E DWQ Projcct 08-0050 TIP No. B-4038 Burke County Dear Mr. Swain: Dee Freeman Secretary On April 29, 2009 1 inspected the construction work on the NC Highway 183 Bridge project in Burke County. Construction is continuing with the new bridge with the girders being set and work starting on the bridge deck. The project appears to be in good condition and no problems were observed. Please continue to ensure that all sediment and erosion control structures are maintained and that seeding and mulching are performed as required to protect State surface waters. Construction on new bridge has progressed to the point the point that the girders have been set and work has just started on the deck.
