Per the requirements of GC 3705, this project must comply with Stormwater
Management Plan (SMP) Requirements for Applicants Other Than the North
Carolina Department of Transportation, available at:

You have two options for meeting the SMP requirement:
a. Submit an SMP to the DWQ 401 Unit that removes a minimum of 85
percent TSS and 30 percent TN from the stormwater generated by the
entire project (as defined by the Army Corps of Engineers). For each
proposed BMP, please provide a completed BMP Supplement Form, with
all the required items. The BMP Supplement Forms are available at the
following web site: http://li2o.e.tir.state.nc.usisu/bnip forms.htm.
b. Provide documentation of the DWQ Washington Regional Office's
approval of the SMP for this project by providing BOTH a valid approval
letter from the DWQ Washington Regional Office AND one copy of the
approved SMP, including plan details, calculations and other supporting
information.
2. Please be advised that a temporary Sediment and Erosion Control Plan does not
suffice to meet the requirement for a permanent SMP. Please be further advised
that failure to provide an appropriate SMP in the next submittal will result in a
return of application.
