A Request for More Information was received from the North Carolina Division of Water Quality on January 30, 2009. This submittal serves as a response to the Request for More Information dated January 29, 2009. In response to Item 1, please find enclosed five (5) copies of an existing conditions drawing, a drawing depicting the project limits with wetland impacts, and a drawing depicting the project limits with riparian buffer impacts. These drawings clearly depict the boundaries of jurisdictional areas as defined in the Jurisdictional Determination (USACE Action ID 200510994) approved on May 23, 2005. In response to Item 2, please find enclosed five (5) copies of drainage calculations indicating that the flow for Sediment Trap A and Sediment Trap B is below two cubic feet per second for the 10-year storm. In a discussion with Ms. Annette Lucas (DWQ), it was determined that level spreaders would not be required for the temporary diversion ditches, as long as the flow for the 10-year storm was less than two cubic feet per second. In response to Item 3, a Stormwater Management Plan has been prepared for this project. A copy of the Plan was forwarded to Ms. Annette Lucas on February 9, 2009. The Stormwater Management Plan should address any questions in regard to Item 3.
