To whom it may concem,
DuPont's draft permit justifies a public hearing:. There are -numerous
concerns we need to have examined.
For example, there are substances on the list that have no limits set while
some have limits that are excessive, such as a daily limit of 7,917 pounds for
fluoride. Additionally, the permit contains terms such as "sufficiently sensitive"
and allows for a "mixing zone" 4500 feet downstream. These two items alone
are huge loopholes for DuPont and need to be addressed publicly. Finally, the
permit should include standards and limitations on PFOA, a chemical linked to
cancer.
Please allow for a public hearing on DuPont's permit with adequate
notification.
