To whom it may concern,
I am concerned about DuPont's draft permit and feel there should be
a public hearing held. The following are just a few of the concerns
residents want to have examined:
• There are substances on the list that have no limits set
• Currently, almost 8000 pounds of fluoride is allowed to be
released daily
• Terms such as "sufficiently sensitive" are vague
• A downstream "mixing zone" of 4500 feet allows the company to
disregard point levels at the discharge point
• Monitoring for PFOA is not included
• Substances with daily limits are not required to be tested for daily
I am requesting a public hearing on this permit and ask to be notified
about this hearing when it is scheduled..
