316(b) Preliminary Determination
Dear Mr. Johnson:
On August 15, 2014 the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized rules
applicable to cooling water intake structures. The Division of Water Resources has
made a preliminary determination that your facility may be subject to these rules. In
order to make the final determination, the Division is requesting the following
information:
1. Design intake flow for your facility (maximum flow the intake structure is
capable of withdrawing.)
2. Actual intake for your facility (average volume of water withdrawn on an annual
basis over the past three years.)
3. Percent of the water withdrawn on an actual intake flow basis used exclusively
for cooling purposes.
The information should be submitted to the following address by April 1, 2015:
