Subject Stormwater Permit Request for the replacement of Bridge # 24 over New
River on US 17 Business in Jacksonville, Onslow County TIP No B-4214,

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) proposes to replace bridge #24 over
New River on US 17 Business in Jacksonville Onslow County falls under the jurisdiction of the
Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) The NCDOT is applying for a Clean Water Act
(CWA) §404 Department of Army Permit, a North Carolina CWA §401 Water Quality
Certification, and a CAMA Federal Consistency Review from the N C Division of Coastal
Management
A Stormwater Application Form, the Project Scope Narrative, two sets of project plans, and the
authority to debit $505 for the permit application fee are provided with this request Please
review this project for authorization by your division NCDOT will construct the basin located
right of station 28+00 and then turn it over to The City of Jacksonville for maintenance through
an MOA agreement
