The pipeline could contaminate drinking water aquifers, endanger threatened wildlife, disrupt the coastal fishing
economy and impair water treatment facilities downstream. And according to grid operators in North Carolina, the
pipeline is not needed to meet our energy demands. If permitted, the pipeline would be a permanent scar across the
state that only serves to benefit shareholders at the expense of our communities and our environment.
