Subject:Support For The Atlanta Coast Pipeline
Dear North Carolina Department Of Environmental Quality:
I am writing to voice my strong OPPOSITION for the Atlanta Coast Pipeline (ACP) project and to respectfully urge the
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to DISAPPROVE the pipeline route.
This statement: "Throughout this lengthy process, the FERC and other agencies have been carefully analyzing potential
impacts to the land, air and water quality, wildlife and other resources to ensure the project has adopted all necessary
measures to protect the environment." is BULL-DOO!!!
North Carolinians all rely on energy-and we benefit when energy is affordable. Energy development and infrastructure
helps keep energy affordable. We must expand our RENEWABLE energy infrastructure to meet the needs of our growing
economy and population.
It is in the interests of North Carolina-and our entire nation- to advance our energy security whenever possible. The ACP
project will NOT help move our nation a step closer to energy independence. With more RENEWABLES in place, we will
have a safe, well-researched energy option that can decrease our dependence on often hostile foreign nations.
I very much appreciate your consideration of my views. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Irene Walworth
