This piece of paper pays lip service to the health of wetlands and bodies of water that the Atlantic Coast Pipeline will affect, but it does this without any specifics or consequences of ignoring them. One of the companies involved, Duke Energy, has said pleasant words about its illegal and polluting coal ash piles... but with less energy devoted to eliminating them than into influencing the NC General Assembly generally to ignore them. The primary need for the pipeline is to fatten the already bulging pocketbooks of fossil fuel polluters. Accept the application at risk of a permanent stain on the DEQ's mission--not to mention the consequences to the health of our citizens and environment. Thank you. Sincerely, Simmons (Bill) Isler 7436 Edenwood Ln Raleigh, NC 27615 919-870-0890 1
