Subject:Why say no to the ACP
The proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline carries with it a whole host of negative environmental and societal impacts and
represents a long term investment in an energy source that is quickly proving to be detrimental to a stable climate.
We should shift our investments instead to renewable forms of energy like solar and wind. The next generation of
American workers can be gainfully employed if we focus on a transition to a low-carbon economy. But that chance to
put millions of people to work and build the next era of prosperity will be squandered if we continue to invest in fossil
fuels that will fail to deliver an opportunistic and secure future.
