Dear Sir, Madam,
The proposed ACP project poses unacceptable threats to water quality and land stewardship for many rural
communities in North Carolina. Due to the large scale of this project, the negative impacts will be much more
permanent and severe than presented by materials distributed by the NC DEQ at public hearings. Invasive
crossing of hundreds of streams and wetlands via explosives, heavy equipment and trench-digging will have
disastrous consequences for water quality and aquatic life in these waterways. The extensive use of herbicide
over the buried pipelines will also eventually contaminate water.
I urge you to deny this ill-conceived project.
Sincerely,
Sophie Kathariou
