To Whom it May Concern:

I would like to express my opposition to the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline. From what I have read, this pipeline is
unnecessary for North Carolina, both in terms of natural gas not being needed in NC and for the fact that it would not
create jobs for NC workers. I think a better alternative would be to invest in further solar and wind energy facilities and
jobs.

I also have environmental concerns about the ACP. Not only would it destroy natural habitat in NC, but it's passage
through the Virginia mountains near Wintergreen, would be detrimental to that community and the nearby Appalachian
Trail and tourism. I have also read that the proposed horizontal drilling through those Appalachian mountains is risky
geologically.

In summary, the proposed ACP will benefit only the big gas companies, and would not benefit citizens of Virginia and NC.
