As a retire NC Earth/ Environmental Science teacher, for 31 years I taught my students the vital roll wetlands
play in protecting our water sources and wildlife. Science knows that wetlands are nature "front line" for
cleaning and protecting surface water from contaminates. They filter out impurities faster, better and cheaper
than any water filtration plant man has yet designed. In order to maintain a fresh, safe water supply for our
state, it's people and industries it is imperative that we protect our wetlands. How by stopping the development
of the ACP, and stopping the draining of our wetlands for development of shopping center, subdivisions, and
other human development. Without clean water we can not progress as a state . Thank you for saying no to the
ACP.
