This pipeline will create 17,000 new jobs, $277 million in annual energy cost savings, and $28 million in local new tax revenue. This on top of the safe and reliable energy this will bring to states along the east coast, including North Carolina. The pipeline also provides efficient means to transport energy resources. Throughout this lengthy process, the FERC and other agencies have been carefully analyzing potential impacts to the land, air and water quality, wildlife and other resources to ensure the project has adopted all necessary measures to protect the environment. North Carolinians all rely on energy-and we benefit when energy is affordable. Energy development and infrastructure helps keep energy affordable. However, we must expand our energy infrastructure to meet the needs of our growing economy and population. It is in the interests of North Carolina-and our entire nation- to advance our energy security whenever possible. The ACP project will help move our nation a step closer to energy independence. With the ACP in place, we will have a safe, well- researched energy option that can decrease our dependence on often hostile foreign nations. I very much appreciate your consideration of my views. Thank you. Sincerely, dave thomas 2036 Hempstede Dr Zebulon, NC 27597-2131 1
