Dear Mr. Gurley:
This correspondence confirms the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers receipt of the Year 5
Annual Report for the Anson County Waste Management Facility stream and wetland restoration
site, Anson County, North Carolina. This report was submitted on your behalf by your
consultant, Jens Geratz of EcoScience Corporation, in response to Special Condition 7 of your
Department of Army Individual Permit for impacts to 0.49 acres of wetlands and 3,730 linear
feet of streams for the Waste Management Facility in Anson County, North Carolina.
Based upon our review of the Annual Report, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has
determined that the 23 acre site has met the necessary requirements for wetland soils, vegetation
and hydrology and additional monitoring will not be necessary. After careful consideration of
the documentation provided, this office confirms that the wetland mitigation success criteria as
set forth in the wetlands mitigation plan for the subject permit have been achieved.
