Widening of US 70 from Radio Island ta Olga Road (SR 1426), Carteret County
Dear Mr. Hancock:
This letter is in response to yotu request letter, dated February 25, 201C, which included one (1)
revised drawing. The request indicates that the work pad between bents 11 and 12 would be shifted
line-ahead and would abut the bent 12 pile cap. Additionally, a 60' x 32' work pad would be added
at bent 13. Your request letter indicates that no additional impacts would be required for the
proposed changes.
Please be advised that through this Letter af Refinement �he N.C. Division. ai Coastal Management
{DCM) conveys its determination that the proposed revisions are consistent with the existing State's
rules and regulations and are in keeping with the original purpose and intent of CAMA Major Permit
No. 37-12. This letter shall be attached to the original CAMA Major Permit No. 37-12 and all
documents must be readily available on szte when a DCM representative inspects the project for
compliance. All con.ditions and stipulations of the active permit remain in force unless altered herein.

Th� NCDOT is requesting a L�tter of Refinem�nt for CAMA Major Development Permit #37-12
Please reference the attached revised permit drawing. The contractor is req�aesting mod�iication to two
terryporary work pads. The work pad between bents I1 and 12 was shifted line-al��ad and now abuts the
bent 12 pile cap. A large 6Q' x 32' work pad was add�d at benf 13. There are na changes ta pxoposed
temporary impacts to jurisdictional resources.
NCDOT will continue to follow a!1 other conditions of the CAMA permii, as originally authorized.
