Dear Mr. Harris: This correspondence is in reference to your letter with attached debit ledger/site map submitted April 16, 2014; regarding the Pig Basket Creek Mitigation Site, located adjacent to Bridge 34 on SR 1004, near Nashville, Nash County, North Carolina. This site is being utilized by the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) as compensatory mitigation for stream and wetland impacts associated with the B-3876 project. The mitigation site consists of approximately 0.24 acres of riparian wetland restoration and 901inear feet of stream enhancement. Impacts from the B-3876 project utilized all 90 linear feet of stream enhancement and 0.13 acres of riparian wetland restoration. The remaining balance of 0.11 acres of riparian wetland restoration is available for use on future projects in the Tar-Pamlico River Basin (HUC 03020101); pending regulatory agency approvaL The updated debit ledger and site map submitted with your letter accurately represents the onsite discussion held on April 3, 2014 and attended by the resource agencies. By copy of this letter, we are notifying you that no further monitoring of the site will be required since the construction and success criteria for the mitigation site has been met.
