necessary to send certificates from all of these.

401 8 BUFFER PERM1 TING
Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC received the water quality certification authorization (DWQ# 1997-
0175 V3) for maintenance dredging at the station intake along the Broad River. The dredging
activity conducted this August is now complete. This activity was conducted according to the
terms and conditions of Nationwide Permit 3 and the 401 Water Quality Certification No. 3888.
This activity may be needed in the future before the approval expires on January 29, 2020,
depending on river conditions. Enclosed is the signed "Certificate of Completion Form ". No
mitigation was required for this activity.
