The features represented on the Wake County Soils and the USGS Raleigh East Quad maps were
evaluated to determine their subjectivity to the Neuse Buffer Rule. Five features and a pond are
depicted on the soils map. Only the pond is shown on the USGS map. These features are labeled
. as A, B, C, D, and E. Only a portion of Feature B, contained within the property evaluated, is a
stream subject to protection under the Neuse River Basin:Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management
Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code
T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).
". }µ The pond present on the site, although waters of the State of North Carolina, is not subject to
41 1.{ protection under the Buffer Rule. The features are delineated on the map received by this Office on
October 12,2000. This letter only addresses the applicability of the Neuse Buffer Rules. Thank you
