On November 30, 2000 I met with you, Geoff Harbor, and Kevin Markham at the subject property to conduct
a site visit. This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 00 -310. The features
represented on the Durham County Soils Map as being present on this property were evaluated to determine
their subjectivity to the Neuse Riparian Buffer Rules.
The Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of
Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233) states that water bodies that
are at least intermittent are subject to fifty foot buffer protection. It was determined that the feature
represented on the soil map is present on the ground as a stream and therefore is subject to the Neuse Buffer
Rule. This zone of protection begins at a point field identified as 2527 and extends in all directions arounc
that point and downstream across Snowhill Drive..
This letter only addresses the applicability of the Riparian Rules. Thank you for your attention to this matter
