Piver Piver & Associates 8009 Creedmoor Road Suite 200 Raleigh, N. C. 27613 Subject: Neuse River Basin Riparian Buffer Rules NBRRO 00 -315 Departure Drive/Oak Forest Road Wake County Dear Mr. Piver: On December 4, 2000 I conducted an evaluation of the features represented on the Wake County Soils and the USGS Raleigh East Quad maps. This evaluation was used to determine their subjectivity to the Neuse Buffer Rule. One feature is depicted on both of the maps. This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 00 -315. It was determined that the feature represented on the maps in the area of the Departure Drive extension is not present on the ground and therefore, is not subject to protection under the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233). This letter only addresses the applicability of the Neuse Buffer Rules. This letter addresses only the applicability of the Neuse Riparian Buffer Rule. Thank you for your attention to this matter and if this Office can be of any assistance or if you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
