Johnston County
On May 17, 2000, I met with you at the subject property to conduct a site visit for the above referenced
project. The features represented on the Johnston County Soils and the Edmondton USGS Quad maps were
evaluated to determine their subjectivity to the Neuse Buffer Rule.
Asa result, it was determined that the feature represented on both maps is a stream that is subject to
protection under the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy-, Protection and
Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).
This letter only addresses the applicability of the Neuse Buffer Rules. For information relevant to wetland
and/or 401 issues please contact someone in the Wetland Unit at 733 -1786. Thank you for your attention
