On May 30, 2000, I met with you at the subject property. An evaluation of the stream features were
performed to determine whether the site would require compliance with the Neuse Buffer Rule. This specific
project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO -00 -154.
The features represented on the Wake County Soils and the USGS quad maps were evaluated to
determine their subjectivity to the Neuse Buffer Rule. It was determined that there is a feature located
on the property that is subject to the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy;
Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC
0233).
This letter addresses only those issues involving the riparian area. Since this feature causes serious hardship
with the development of the property, you should contact Mr. Bob Zarzecki at 733 -9726. For information
relevant to wetland and 401 issues or impacts please contact Mr. John Dorney at 919 - 733 -1786. Thank you
