Dear Mr. Jelenevsky:
This letter will serve as confirmation of the buffer determination made April 3, 2000, when I met
with you at the subject property. This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as
NBRRO 00 -092.
The features represented on the Wake County Soils and the USGS Raleigh East maps were evaluated
to determine their subjectivity to the Neuse Buffer Rule. Only one feature is depicted on the soil
map. A point was flagged as the origin of the stream feature and above that point, the feature is not
subject although it does contain is wetlands. This feature is a stream and as such is subject to
protection under the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection
and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).
The unnamed tributary is delineated on the map received by this Office on April 11, 2000. This
letter only addresses the applicability of the Neuse Buffer Rules. Thank you for your attention to

Dear Steve,
I am requesting written confirmation ofNeuse Buffer and channel determination performed by S &EC and confirmed by
you within the Fox Road Site on 3 April 2000. The subject property consists of approximately 20 acres and is located
adjacent to the east side of Fox Road (SR 2042) approximately 2000 feet north of the Fox Road and Spring Forest Road
(SR 2041) intersection.
During the field meeting one feature was examined and buffer determinations completed by S &EC were evaluated.
You accepted the origin point of the stream, as determined and flagged by S &EC.
This feature was only mapped on the soil survey as an intermittent channel, no features were mapped within the site on
the USGS. The Wake County soil survey and USGS map and a MapVue figure depicting the site location and features
have been enclosed for your records.
