This project was initially referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 00 -041. This letter addresses information relevant to NBRRO 00 -126. The features represented on the Wake County Soils and the USGS Raleigh West maps were evaluated to determine their subjectivity to the Neuse Buffer Rule. As a result, it was determined that there is only one feature (stream) present on the property that are subject to protection under the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233). That feature has been delineated on the map received by this Office on April 27, 2000. This letter only addresses the applicability of the Neuse Buffer Rules. For other information pertinent to buffer and/or wetland impacts, please contact the Wetlands /401 Unit at 733 -1786. CLANCY RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA DSAtlantic PROJECT NO. CTC032.000 Dear Steve: Per our conversation in April, 2000, I am sending you a revised subdivision map for the TIC Clancy Subdivision. We visited this site in December, (I met you when you were on your way to the airport to Jamaica) and we reviewed the riparian buffer and creek on the south portion of -the property. You stated that this was not a creek on a previous visit to your office where we reviewed soil maps and USGS quad sheets and found the information did in fact support our field findings. I have removed the incorrect buffer that we have previously shown on the map. We were hoping you could write a letter stating our findings so we can follow up with the City of Raleigh and have this riparian buffer extingushed. Thank you for your help with this project. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to call. - Since y, C. Thomas E.
