Dave/Amy,
We had a short duration, heavy rain event on the U-2579DEF project Saturday night. Crews were back to work today
after the holiday weekend and completed their required NPDES walk through for the project. The following sites had
sediment losses into jurisdictional waters. They have been directed to start clean up.

Subject: Silt loss
Phil and Amy please be advised we have had
silt loss for the DEF Project due to heavy thunderstorms. Total Rainfall for this event was 2.925 Inches over a short
duration.
Site 6 – SDO was overwhelmed and blew out resulting in approximately 75 buckets primarily located on the bank.
Site 10 – SDO was overwhelmed and blew out on the inlet side and ran through the pipe system resulting in
approximately 200 buckets. Most of silt was contained at the rock check at the outlet of the pipe.
Site 12 – SDOs was overwhelmed on the inlet side in the rock ditch and ran through the pipe system again resulting in
approximately 40 buckets of silt.
Site 15 – Rainfall washed the weir out from underneath the skimmer pipe was pushed silt through the clean water ditch
and onto the baffles resulting in approximately 20 buckets of silt.
Flatiron has all of its crews fixing the root cause of the loss in these areas. Request clean up of permit sites.
