NC DIVISION OF WATER QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE A STORMWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT
Public comment or objection to the draft permits is invited. Submit written comments to DWQ at the address below.
All comments received prior to April 26, 2012 will be considered in the final determination regarding permits issuance
and permit provisions.
Application: Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC, P.O. Box 1006, Mail Code EC13K, Charlotte, NC 28201 has applied for
NPDES permits to discharge stormwater from the following three industrial facilities:
Draft permit No. NCS000546 - Allen Steam Station, 253 Plant Allen Rd., Belmont, NC, Gaston County. The facility
discharges to the Catawba & South Fork Catawba River,
Draft permit No. NCS000548 - Marshall Steam Station, 8320 East NC Highway 150, Terrell, NC, Catawba County.
The facility discharges to the Catawba River; and
Draft permit No. NCS000549 - Riverbend Steam Station, 175 Steam Plant Rd., Mount Holly, NC, Gaston County.
The facility discharges to the Catawba River (Mountain Island Lake).
