Annual Avg Daily Traffic(veh/hr/day): Design/Future: 16,400 Year:2040 Existing: 10,733 Year: 2020 General Project Narrative: This roadway project is part of the Northern Beltway Eastern Section. The U2579AA portion is from US 311 to 1-40(Future 1-74). The surrounding area consists of multi-family (Description of Minimization of Water residential neighborhoods with light industrial,woods,and agriculture sporadically interspersed. The project mainline will have a typical sections that predominately consist of a Quality Impacts) divided highway with a 70'median at 8:1 slopes where 62'is grass lined with non-erosive velocities throughout the project to the extent practicable.Approximately 17,000 ft.of ditchline in the medians and along the sideslopes maintained non errosive velocities during 2 year storms and meet grass swale criteria. Minimum measures used on this project include:1.Maximizing shoulder sections,including along the Y2NBL and Y2SBL chains where shoulders bordering the medians were maintained at 8'width,allowing runoff to remain in a diffuse flow pattern to encourage passive stormwater treatment over vegetative areas adjacent to the roadway. 2.minimizing roadway sideslopes in areas without shoulderberm gutter,encouraging sheet flow of runoff,reducing runoff velocity,and increasing infiltration. 3.Implementing an alignment minimizing stream impacts related to stream crossings,including new location culverts which maintain existing stream integrity. 4.Providing adequate ground cover by using gently sloping side slopes and ditch slopes which contribute to non-erosive runoff velocities. 5.Stabilized embankments and drainage ditches with RR where velocities could potentially become erosive. 6. Providing adequate energy dissipation at pipe outlets. 7.Utilizing natural features and drainage pathways,for example placing a drainage ditch along the former pond paralleling Y2RPB.
