I have reviewed the information submitted for the project referenced by the Raleigh Regional
Office as NBR 03 -027. An evaluation of the stream features present on the [property was
performed on January 15, 2003 to determine whether or not the site would require compliance
with the Neuse Buffer Rules.
The features represented on the Johnston County Soils and the Edmondson USGS topographic
maps were evaluated to determine their subjectivity to the Rule. It was determined that there are
two features present in the sewer line area. The main creek, Mills Branch runs along the
northwest property. And additional feature is represented on the soil's map and was found to be
present on the ground as a stream and therefore subject to the fifty -foot riparian protection zone.
The origin is approximately located on the attached plat map.
This letter addresses only those issues involving the riparian area_ For information relative to
other impacts, 401/404, or wetland issues, please contact Mr. John Dorney at 919 - 733 -1786.

sheet, a USGS map, a county vicinity map, a financial obligation form and a check.'in the amount of
$150.00 (total disturbed area is approx. 2.70 acres).
This,project is-to install a sewer pump station, forcemain,and gravity line to serve future development.
Please note on January 15,, 2003 I•met Steve IMitchell of DWQ to review the buffered' stream shown. Mr.
,Mitchell marked the head of this,feature on the ground. The attached map shows,this,approximate location,
since this exact location is not a concern for this erosion control plan. The enact- location will'be shown in _
the erosion control plan for the future subdivision, (commg'soon).
