PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that on August 30, 2021 Duke Energy Carolinas LLC (PO Box 1006,
Charlotte, NC 28201-1006) applied to the NC Division of Water Resources(DWR)for a 401 Individual
Water Quality Certification, pursuant to Section 401 of the Federal Clean Water Act and Title 15A NCAC
02H .0500.The activity for which this certification is sought regards Industrial/Commercial/Business.
The DWR's proposed date of final action on the application is October 9, 2021.
Written comments on the application described above must be received by DWR no later than 5 p.m.
on October 9, 2021. Written comments may be submitted online by filling out the Public Notice
Comment Form here: https://edocs.deg.nc.gov/Forms/401 Public Notice Comments. Written
comments may also be mailed to: 401 Permitting, 1617 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC, 27699-1617.
