Department of Transportation 253 Webster Road Sylva, North Carolina 28779 Subject: Inspection NC Highway 107 TIP No. B -3480 Jackson County Dear Mr. Setzer: On April 23, 2013, I inspected the construction work for the new bridge over the Tuckasegee River on NC Highway 107 in Jackson County. The contractor continues to work on the deck of the new bridge, cut slope and nail wall. Sediment and erosion control structures appear to be maintained and working properly. Please ensure that all sediment and erosion control structures are maintained and that seeding and mulching are performed as needed to protect State surface waters. The contractor is continuing to work on new bridge piers and bents. Sediment and erosion control structures appear to be maintained and working properly. Please ensure that all sediment and erosion control structures are maintained and that seeding and mulching are performed as needed to protect State surface waters.
