Subject Permit Modification Request for Site 1 on Winstead Avenue Widening
Project T I P No U 4019, DWQ 401 Permit# 20110161
Dear Sirs,
The purpose of this correspondence is to request a modification of the Tar-Pamlico Buffer
permits issued for impacts associated with the widening of Winstead Avenue in Nash
County (T I P U 4019) Specifically we request permission to modify the extent of our
buffer impacts at Site 1
We are requesting this modification in order to address the need for an additional 122
linear feet of buffer impacts in Zone 1 for stream bank stabilization at Buffer Impact Site
1 These impacts are necessary to address unstable stream banks in the project area
Placement of Class I nprap along this reach of stream bank should alleviate issues of
instability associated with current conditions as well as anticipated shading created by the
widened bridge deck This activity will require changes to the permit drawings A
preliminary drawing of the proposed revision accompanies this correspondence
