We will adjust the rip rap pad so it is in line with the roadway ditch. Right now it looks like it is draining into the buffer but it is not. Our bridge report design calls for no deck drains on the bridge. DWQ has two concerns: 1) The bridge deck drainage pipe that releases into buffer zone 2--while DWQ doesn't object to this IF the water drains away from Wheat Swamp Creek, Garcy was not convinced the water would drain away given current conditions on the ground (he visited the site). He said no grass swale exists now, and unless some grading was done he wasn't sure the water wouldn't find its way back to the creek. Do you know how this drainage will be accomplished more specifically? and 2) No deck drains--Garcy just wanted to make sure there weren't going to be deck drains over the buffer, which he has seen before (even when it was stated that the bridge would have no deck drains). Thanks for looking into this, Amy *Please Note New Phone Number* Amy E.
