The existing 12'x 20' bridge is structurally deficient and will be replaced with a new single span 33'x 55' bridge. Due to on-site limitations, an off-site detour is proposed. All impacts associated with this replacement are due to bank hardening associated with the spill-through design. Stream impacts are tabulated below. The existing bridge crosses the West Fork of Pine Swamp Creek (Claus: C, Trout +). This project was reviewed for the presence of threatened and endangered species in August of 2010. The subject project will have no effect on any federally listed endangered plant or animal species.
