Construction is underway on most of the project. Construction is well underway for the culverts and at the new Broad River Bridge. At the Broad River Bridge project drill slurry was pumped to a sediment basin and the material broke through the basin and entered the Broad River. Operations were stopped and the slurry was then pumped to an alternate basin. Also, some drill material was escaping into the river from the casing. On all future drilling operations care should be taken to prevent and drill slurry and/or concrete from entering state surface waters. All other areas of the project appeared to be in good condition. Continue to maintain erosion control devices and continue with seeding and mulching as required. R2233A Inspection Report September 2010
