Let me know if there is anything we can help with during the next few days, or any concerns folks might have had that we can prepare for. A couple of comments on the slide show: Slide 2: The Corps may not require mitigation of the entire reach of this stream. The channel is ponded in some areas, and where it is adjacent to wetlands Jamie may not want stream mitigation if it is commonly inundated. We included the entire reach for planning purposes as a maximum footage (and in case full mitigation of this section is required by 401). Give me a call at your convenience if you want to discuss. Slide 5: Shotwell is not the only landfill to serve Johnston County. There are several C&Ds whose franchise agreement may include Johnston, but Shotwell is the closest therefore keeping traffic impacts to a minimum. Johnston County's own C&D is the only C&D in the County. Growth in the area just south of the line is in excess of 6000 homes and growing daily. Slide 7: Can we call the basins dry detention rather than sediment basins? I know they will function as that during construction and operation, but for long term stormwater purposes they are designed much larger (to extended dry basin criteria) and therefore sediment basins doesn't do them justice. Slide 7: Monitoring of groundwater is for 30 years post-closure. Final closure estimated at 50 years, for an 80 year total. If tonnage increases and it fills faster, it could be less time, but the 30 year period is set in stone. rt n ^ Did you want to include any of the alternative scenarios? We also have current and proposed .l'"`' monitoring locations (ground and surface water) if you feel like they would help on the figure. If so let me know if you need a pdf of anything. Please ignore any of these comments - I know you wanted to keep this short and sweet.
