R-2233A Rutherford County Dear Mr. Swain: Dee Freeman Secretary On June 14, 2010, I inspected the construction work on the US Highway 221 Project in Rutherford County. Clearing and grubbing work along with minor grading was taking place during the inspection. Also, sediment and erosion control structures were being installed. Please ensure that all sediment and erosion control structures are maintained and seeding and mulching are performed as required to protect State surface waters. Contractor is still moving equipment on site. Construction of the new Broad River Bridge is to begin around the first of July. Project appeared to be in good condition.
