Subject: Courtesy notification for the use of a NW 3 request for pipe replacement on SR 1306 (Grimes Rd)
in Martin County.
This is a courtesy notification from the North Carolina Department of Transportation for the use of
a NW 3 permit for the replacement of a pipe on SR 1306 in Martin County. The pipe is located 0.9 miles
west of NC 903 (35.853400, 77.263850). The existing pipe is I @ 30" x 58' Corrugated Metal Pipe. The
pipe will be completely removed, following NCDOT BMP's for pipe replacement. The proposed pipe is I
@ 95" x 67" x 40' Corrugated Aluminum Alloy Pipe Arch with headwalls on both ends. The pipe is
located in an unnamed tributary to Ross Swamp, Class °C, Sw, NSW" waters. Permit drawings and a topo
map are included in this letter. If you need any additional information or have any questions concerning
