For this approval to be valid, you must follow the conditions listed in the attached certification. In addition, you should get any other federal, state or local permits before you go ahead with your project. If you do not accept any of the conditions of this certification, you may ask for an adjudicatory hearing. You must act within 60 days of the date that you receive this letter. To ask for a hearing, send a written petition which conforms to Chapter 150B of the North Carolina General Statutes to the Office of Administrative Hearings, P.O. Box 27447, Raleigh, N.C. 27611-7447. Huntsville Tower Road is presently 14 to 16 feet wide. We plan to pave the road 18' wide and increase the typical section. The proposed typical section is also attached. Grading will be light to moderate. The project begins at the end of pavement and continues southeasterly for 0.97 mile. We propose to extend/replace two pipes which carry a live stream at survey stations 51+00 and 57+71. By a copy of this letter, I am asking Stephanie Goudreau, North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission Mountain Region Coordinator, to comment directly to you concerning the nationwide permit request. Also, by a copy of this letter, I am sending seven (7) copies of this application package to the Division of Environmental Management.
